This is an olden day fencing mask that was displayed at the FIE exhibit at the Youth Olympics. The old weapons and masks look way cooler than the ones we use now. They actually look deadly, and the old masks offer little protection. The one above is actually an improvement from the wire mesh ones, made with padding and harder metal after they realised that the fencers were sustaining too many bruises and cuts on their faces.
